It’s one of those things that has fallen off the bottom of the ‘to do’ list more times than I care to imagine but the Ridge & Furrow Shop is now, at last, live.
Being self employed really builds your skillset: I am the accounts department; brand developer; the marketing team; logistics manager; tea girl; artist; technician; seamstress; photographer and also website developer. Is it any wonder some things take a long time to get around to.
The first items on the new page are pieces of mine in lime and ink set in vintage frames. There’s more on my creative practice here if you’re interested in the background to these.
Each piece is drawn from an obsession with time's colouration; historic paper and textile fragments; and the stories woven through hidden layers and domestic decoration.
